DOLTON is a medium sized village that continues to expand. The landscape Dolton exists in is secluded and intricate, with mellow hillsides, countless deciduous copses and thin curvy lanes, enclosed by species rich hedgerows. It is located between the villages of Winkleigh, Beaford and Merton. Dolton has two shops, one for groceries and an electrical outlet. It also has a couple of pubs, serving up excellent food & drink. For other needs there are daily bus services headed towards Barnstaple and the City of Exeter. However, what Dolton does best is community. Annually it hosts a colourful carnival, and a local produce/ horticultural show. The village hall remains, as in days gone by, the social core of Dolton and is nearly always in use by one of the welcoming local organisations. Soldering everything together is the village magazine – helping you keep well and truly in the loop. 

DIRECTIONS Entering the village of Dolton along the B3217 reach a fork in the road at the Memorial bear right as signed Fore Street BUT turn immediately right into a small lane (see picture on details).  Just along the lane there is parking alongside the outbuilding on the left.  There is a shared entrance for 1 and 2 Sages in the courtyard.
