Full Details for 5 Bedroom Detached for sale in Dover, CT15 :

St Margarets-at-Cliffe is a vibrant coastal village where the Kent countryside meets the sea at the delightful St Margaret’s Bay. So if you enjoy both village life and want to be near the coast, the unique and centrally located this property can provide it all. This charming flint faced house with its impressive pillared entrance porch and sash windows appears to offer plenty of historic character. However, as it was only built about six years ago it also provides everything needed for modern day living. With four/five double bedrooms including a master with a sumptuously appointed bath and wet room, a guest bedroom with a luxurious en-suite and a beautifully equipped family bathroom there is plenty of space for family and friends to live in style.

You can easily picture yourself spending a cosy evening in the attractive living room with its Portuguese limestone fireplace, while the elegant dining room is just the place to entertain your guests to a formal dinner party. The stunning and spacious kitchen/breakfast room leading to the relaxing sun room is inevitably where the family will congregate for much of the time. The top floor is a real surprise with a vaulted ceiling which could be a fifth bedroom that runs the whole length of the property. Alternatively you may need an office away from the rest of the house or perhaps you are a model railway or model racing car enthusiast, this excellent space will allow you work in peace or enjoy your hobby.

There is a large terrace for al fresco dining in the secluded garden and a very useful shower room inside the back door that is ideal for anyone coming home from a swim or a long walk and wanting to change.

What the Owner says:

“We bought this house about six years ago when it was first built and have enjoyed everything about it. We couldn’t live in a more community spirited village. There are a number of restaurants, a hotel and three pubs as well as a post office, village shop and the Wallett’s Court Hotel & Spa where locals and visitors can make use of the gym, sauna and swimming pool.
Walking and cycling are great hobbies of ours and there are plenty of wonderful walks along footpaths and trails to Kingsdown and the beach. Ian Fleming had a house here (White Cliffs Cottage) and Noel Coward was a regular visitor. In fact the ‘007’ for James Bond was apparently based on the number 007 local bus service which became the National Express bus to London. You can also walk to the Dover Patrol Memorial or the South Foreland Lighthouse – the first lighthouse in the world to have electric light.
There are a wide range of societies and clubs including the St Margaret’s players for those with a theatrical bent. For the younger members of the community there are also very active scout, guide and brownie troops as well as two riding stables and an excellent primary school.”
