Full Details for 5 Bedroom Detached for sale in Dover, CT15 :
The incredibly clever redesign of this lovely house gives the impression that you are living both indoors and outside at the same time. With straight line vision from the front door, through to the living room and out to the patio, you are immediately drawn to the most stunning view of the surrounding countryside. From high on the hill above Dover you can revel in vistas across the North Downs as far as the eye can see, perfect countryside to enjoy bracing walks over the fields and through the woods. While closer to home the delightful patio and garden beckons those who enjoy relaxing over a cup of coffee, alfresco dining or simply pottering gently amongst the shrubs and plants. The house has been completely remodeled to the very highest standard and everything has been considered down to the last detail so all a new owner has to do is move their furniture in, put the kettle on and their feet up! The light and bright kitchen/dining room offers the right facilities for any aspiring chef looking to enhance their culinary skills and includes a top of the range induction hob, double oven and a breakfast bar. The dining area provides a stunning environment for elegant dinner parties, where you can cosy up to the log burning stove in the winter or spill out onto the patio on balmy summer evenings. With as many as five double bedrooms if you include the study on the ground floor, this is a house for even the most discerning family to spread their wings. The master bedroom has a dressing room as well as a fabulous en-suite bath and shower room whilst two further upstairs bedrooms share the facilities of a Jack and Jill shower room.
“I bought this house originally because of the magnificent view and the fact that it is very peaceful and quiet. I really enjoy going through the gate at the bottom of the garden and taking my dog for long walk across the fields. As I have nothing but countryside at the rear and the grounds of the Duke of York military school at the front, I can’t actually see any other houses when I look out of the windows although I do have some very friendly neighbours. The village of Guston is a delightful community with a pub and a primary school. However, it is just three miles to Dover for the Continent, the station and the shops and about a minute’s drive from the A2 for Canterbury and London as well as the nearby supermarkets and DIY stores.
It has taken over two years of dedicated effort to completely refurbish the property from top to bottom and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. It was designed for entertaining and all my friends and family thoroughly enjoy coming to stay on a regular basis. Having put my heart and soul into creating a wonderful interior space, it will be a great wrench to leave it. However, I have been offered a job opportunity abroad so sadly I will have to part with my lovely home.”
