Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Dover, CT15 :
Built in the autumn of 2014 by award winning builders SAR Property Development, this rural chalet bungalow is a delight. You will find it at the end of a small lane off the main street in West Hougham and the first thing you notice is the impressive entrance gate with this property proudly inscribed within the wrought iron design.Once across the threshold you can appreciate the high quality build and excellent internal fixtures and fittings, whether it is the beautiful wood and glass double doors between the L shaped kitchen/dining room and the living room, the lovely engineered wood flooring or the excellent units and appliances in the kitchen/breakfast area. The property has been well designed for family living and offers a flowing ambience. The lounge is very bright with intriguing glass panels providing additional natural light and there is a ground floor bedroom near to the downstairs cloakroom that makes an ideal family room and playroom for young children or could be an office for anyone doing work at home. The well equipped kitchen includes a gas hob, double oven, built in microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher as well as a useful breakfast bar and from the large dining area you can wander out to the garden via the bi-folding doors. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms including the master with an en suite shower room as well as a modern family bathroom. The secluded garden is a secure enough to keep young children and pets safe and backs on to a small paddock area with sheep and goats, there is also a sprinkler system so you wont find yourself standing around watering the lawn. You can park up to about six cars at the front of the bungalow on the large brick paved driveway – very useful of you have friends round for dinner or a party.
I bought this house from new and have been delighted with it. What drew me to it in the first place was the fact that I could use a room to provide a children’s playroom on the ground floor so I would be able to keep an eye on the kids, but still retain a large living space. However my situation is changing and I need to make a move. The children love the peace and quiet and we have all been very happy here. West Hougham is a very friendly village and there’s always a lot going on in the village hall including a popular ‘pop-up’ pub once a month, a regular fish and chip van and nearby playing fields for the children. There are plenty of places to walk the dog and for anyone interested in horses there are a number of livery stables and riding schools in the area, including an American horse breeding stud nearby. We’re only about ten minutes from Folkestone and Dover for access to the Continent, shopping, entertainment, great schools and mainline train stations although it is only 20 minutes drive to Ashford International. From there you can be in St Pancras in 35 minutes, so it is less than an hour ‘door to door’. There is also a school bus that goes from the village for both primary and secondary children and for anyone who likes local produce there are two excellent farm shops about two minutes away.
