Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Ventnor, PO38 :
Location, location, location – is a common phrase used to sell property all over the world but with this particular house it could not be more relevant. Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac and perched on top the Under cliff of Ventnor, this bespoke family home is now on the market for the first time in nearly 30 years. As soon as you pull up and walk towards the large glazed entrance porch you will soon realise what attracted the current owner all those years ago and why they snapped it up before anyone else. Take a moment to admire the gardens and stop and marvel at the sea views right on the front door step. Inside the spacious and light interior offers plenty of accommodation for the growing family, with a good sized lounge and separate dining room – ideal for Christmas gatherings and evening dinner parties. The adjacent kitchen is also a good size and has room for a breakfast table and chairs to enjoy that morning coffee whilst reading the paper. It is upstairs though where the real surprises await! As you climb the stairs to the first floor the galleried landing and balcony provides a perfect vantage point to admire the glorious sea views – so sit and relax while watching the liners glide by on the horizon. With four bedrooms there is enough room for guests to stay over and explore the nearby Botanic Gardens and historical St Lawrence village. This well presented house sure does offer a truly breath-taking location, so be sure not to miss out as it could be another 30 years before you get the chance to buy it again!
When we saw this property over 30 years ago it took only moments to decide it was the one. The views from the front were amazing and the house was so different to all the others we had viewed – I knew we had to have it.
The spacious accommodation and unique landing area provide plenty of opportunity to sit and admire the views whatever the weather or season.
Over the years we have spent a lot of time in the garden and have always maintained the house to a high standard, so someone can just move in now and not have to worry about any big jobs which may need to be done.
It has been wonderful living here all this time, but it is now necessary for me to be closer to my family on the mainland.
