Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Uckfield, TN22 :
Situated in a quiet leafy lane, this could be the ideal property for that rural retreat you've always dreamed of! Wilderness Lane is remarkably quiet with only the sound of birds to break the silence! This is a much sought after spot, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty which boasts one of the best primary schools in the South East a 10 minute walk away. Direct trains from Buxted service London in around an hour and excellent road links provide easy access to popular coastal towns. The original structure dates from 1792 and offers real character in the form of beams and stone wall construction and has the benefit of an inglenook open fire. The spacious open plan lounge is a real delight offering warmth from a recently installed wood burner and light from the south facing garden through large double doors. Behind the garden shed, is a large area that would provide additional car/caravan parking and at the other end of the plot is a single garage and off road parking for six cars.As well as a cottage style kitchen with masses of storage space, there's also a sizeable study and useful utility rooms both ends of the kitchen. They'll be no arguments over who gets the best bedroom as they are all doubles, and a recently installed bathroom completes the pretty picture upstairsOverall, the property is a wonderful blend of character, charm and practicality in a unique location. Viewing is a must!!
As soon as I walked through the door for the first time I was sold on the lounge and dining areas alone, but to have such a large private garden was a real bonus and we'll be very sorry to leave it all behind. We've had 30 delightful years in this house and raised three children who have all left home. There's so much going on in the village now from clubs like amature dramatics, to village cricket, the TN22 choir to horticultural society gatherings. Not to mention the New Inn which provides a wonderful family pub style atmosphere with friendly locals!
