Full Details for 3 Bedroom Terraced for sale in Dover, CT16 :
Having such a stunning outlook over the River Dour makes this garden a real retreat to sit out in. You wouldn't believe that you are near the town! This beautiful home has a great layout for any modern day family or couple. Since open plan living is in demand it is great that you can open up the living space, yet when it is cold outside and you want to be cosy in front of the fire, you can shut up the French doors and enjoy catching up with the latest soaps. The current owner has obviously thought a great deal about the input they have put into the home with neutral decor and attention to detail the house feels immediately welcoming. Some other homes in the road have converted, what is the front garden, into off road parking so this could be an option for any buyer, subject to obtaining the necessary consents. Alfred Road is on level access to the Dover town. By foot you have schools and local shops nearby. If you fancy a good stroll you could even walk into the centre of town without any bother. There are bus routes nearby on either Buckland Avenue or London Road, depending on whether you want to go to Dover or Canterbury. By car you can be on the A2 and A20 within minutes.
When I was looking to buy this house I already knew the area as I grew up in this road. The neighbourhood is lovely and it is such a quiet area. I extensively renovated the house. Most of the walls and ceilings have been re-plastered and I knocked the kitchen through to make more of a social space as I often have friends over. I put in a new kitchen and bathroom and decorated throughout. I have landscaped the garden to make it low maintenance.Everyone tends to descend on me when the sun is out as the garden is a real sun trap. I have even had family over for a BBQ on Boxing Day so you could say that I use the garden a lot.
