It was the house we had to have! The garden was an added bonus, having lived in a flat in Lewes, and whilst we didn't have children at the time it was bought with that in mind.
It's fair to say the house required some attention and it was what we were after. We updated the kitchen, but wanted to keep the Aga as a feature. We have also rewired as well as having a modern damp-proof course installed.
Being able to work from home but not actually in the house, with all its distractions, has been a real bonus.
We'll miss the size of the garden and hope we can find somewhere that competes with here.
