Full Details for 3 Bedroom Semi-Detached for sale in Sittingbourne, ME9 :
If you are looking for artistic inspiration, or the perfect home to come back to unwind at after a hard day at work then look no further than this beautiful cottage. You will never become tired of looking out over the fields to the front, the current owner loves them so much that she decided to make the upstairs room her sitting room to frame the picturesque view with the fantastic double glazed sash window. A couple living here would surely consider using the versatile lay out this way too. It would be equally a refreshing site to wake up from if this was your bedroom. The whole house is sympathetic to both its heritage, with its tiled floors, fireplaces and little nooks and crannies and the village location. Further inspiration will come from the walks available to you from here – a dog owner’s (or the dog’s at least) dream.Teynham is a popular village located between two major local towns. It offers you access to all the necessary larger shops and supermarkets in Sittingbourne and then the smaller, independent shops and array of pubs of the market town of Faversham. That is not to say the village does not have plentiful amenities of its own – with a range of shops and renowned takeaways and pubs. Crucially it also has its own railway station which means that this property will be perfect for commuters looking to get to London for work or you fancy a trip down to the coast on a summer’s weekend.
I moved here 16 years ago and this really was my ‘escape to the country’. The village itself was a great find but the cottage, I felt was a real ‘one off’. As an artist myself this is the perfect base, whether I am in my studio space looking over the fields, or enjoying the rear garden. It was important for me to keep the character of this period property and through my home improvements I wanted to keep as much of this as I could. I am particularly pleased with the windows, which I had replaced with double glazed sashes to keep the charm, but improve the efficiency. I really think that they are beautiful. I will miss this house but I have decided to move closer to friends, I will always fondly look back on my time at Teynham.
