The position the property sits in means that the majority of rooms overlook an open field, a much better view than most houses get!Tucked away at the end of the road it almost feels like a cul de-sac with no passing traffic, yes there are other detached houses in this development but surely none feel as private as this one.We are not quite sure which our favourite room is on the ground floor, whether it’s the large open plan lounge with views out onto the garden or probably more likely the upgraded modern fitted kitchen/dining room.Heading upstairs the choice of the bedrooms for the kids is tough as both the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are of good size, but there is no doubt about the master bedroom with its luxury en-suite this one is for the parents.The rear garden is wall enclosed offering a safe sunny place with gate access to the driveway and door into the larger than average garage.
We loved the picture postcard, village location, a few minutes walk to the local pub, restaurant, general store and post office, with supermarkets and everything you need day to day close by in Uckfield. The local schools both primary and secondary are of a very good standard. Also you are only a short journey to Brighton, Lewes, Tunbridge Wells and London.When we viewed the house it had a sense of privacy that is very rare in new builds, overlooking fields, with a private walled garden and we felt the rooms were all a really good size, giving a nice homely feel. We cancelled all our other viewings for the rest of the day because we knew we had found a real gem.However, we really miss being close to all of our family and friends in Warwickshire.
