AGENTS COMMENTS A simply stunning, stone built, seaside cottage with views of the sea that will leave you gazing onto the English Channel for hours. The garden is not only south facing but provides the perfect area for the lucky new owners to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun set over Ventnor. Set in the extremely sought after Upper Bonchurch area of Ventnor, this characterful fisherman's cottage is beautifully charming to look at. Once stepping inside, the same period charm from the kerb is carried throughout with flagstone floors and many period features. The two reception rooms both offer gorgeous sea views and are complimented on the ground floor by the modern kitchen and WC. The first floor provides two bedrooms of which both offer a sea view to wake up to in the morning, and are a good size with plenty of character. The bathroom you'll find here is modern, very large and immaculately kept. A beautiful cottage that should not be missed especially when sat in such a wonderful location where you can walk to the beach and St Boniface Downs. This property would also make an excellent 'lock up and leave' holiday home by the sea, with the opportunity to purchase contents on separate negotiation.
OWNERS COMMENTS After a couple of years searching the Island for the perfect cottage we found Trevessa. There is something special about it, you know that from the minute you walk up the steps and open the door. We love its traditional cottage style, its original features, the fireplaces, flagstone floors and of course the amazing views from all rooms. Trevessa is comfortable and cosy, it is a house that has always been loved, it was owned by its first family for over 100 years and we have enjoyed nurturing it into the 21st century. We have been very respectful of its history as we have modernised and improved each room, everything has been done to ensure that the views remain the star of the show and can be thoroughly enjoyed whatever the weather. The south facing garden is a real sun trap as you are sheltered from the breeze by the hedges on either side, we have sat and enjoyed a glass of wine, looking at the ships arriving and departing, warm and content till late into the night. Many early morning coffees have also been enjoyed watching the colours of the sea change from moment to moment. When the weather is stormy the view becomes more dramatic but you can still be part of what's happening from all rooms. Sitting on the end of the bed, with a morning cuppa planning the day ahead, looking out to sea is a real privilege. We have shared the experience with many families as it is currently run as a successful holiday home, many people have commented on how comfortable and relaxing it is to be in Trevessa it is truly a house that loves to be lived in.
