Full Details for 2 Bedroom Semi-Detached for sale in Ventnor, PO38 :
Looks can most definitely be deceiving and at this characterful cottage in Wroxall you might just be in for a surprise when you step inside for a closer look.Previously a bakery but now a charming home, you’ll be instantly impressed with the spacious Kitchen/Diner from the moment you arrive. It is easy to see how this room has become the hub of the house. With plenty of space for a large table and chairs enjoy a hearty family meal before retiring to relax in front of the wood burner in the cosy lounge with its bespoke pebbled surround.Turn your hand to some DIY and finish off the old kitchen to become a snug or even a 3rd bedroom. As you climb the stairs to the first floor notice the ingenious use of space to create several elevated platforms the children are bound to enjoy. Upstairs you’ll find 2 further double bedrooms and a family bathroom meaning there is plenty of room for a growing family to spread out.On a summers evening why not sit out on the patio and spark up a barbecue, whilst marvelling at the glorious countryside view. With a sunny aspect this “hot spot” could really ignite your imagination and create the perfect place to plan your next adventure on one of the many walking and cycling routes right on your doorstep. The village has everything you need to save a trip in to town including a great pub, shop and excellent primary school just around the corner.
I moved here originally to open up a bakery selling home cooked food and pies to the local community. After a few years I decided the time was right to close the business and turn the shop area back into my own Kitchen/Diner. With a daughter at University studying art and design the house has been a blank canvas for her to express herself but I appreciate this will not be to everyone’s liking. A quick splash of paint and the house can have magnolia walls in no time.
We have started to refurbish the back of the house where the kitchen used to be and this is still a work in progress. With a growing family we also created several snug areas on the vast first floor landing.
I really like our funky house but need to be nearer to my family on the mainland.
