Situated amongst the glorious Shropshire countryside which stretches between the bustling conurbations of Wolverhampton and Telford, Ryton is a quiet rural village bisected by the River Worfe, a meandering tributary of the ancient Severn. At the centre of the village, the crisp elegance of Ryton Hall’s white façade towers over the quaint surrounding cottages and for some time served as the rectory for St Andrew’s church, located opposite. Constructed around 1905 by the Italian designer Romolo Piazzani who inspired much admiration for his elegant landscaped gardens, and with portions of the building dating from the 18th century, the Hall has enjoyed a varied history as a school, training centre and eventually a private residence before undergoing a sympathetic conversion in the late 1990s to provide ten luxurious apartments. Retaining majestic period entrances, high ceilings and huge window recesses fitted with excellent double-glazed replicas, the Hall offers an unmissable opportunity to live amongst striking, fully-maintained period surroundings in an enviable rural location enveloped by glorious landscaped communal grounds. The rarity of country house conversions in the area surely affords an element of exclusivity to any opportunity to own and reside in such a pleasingly opulent position, coupled with an elevated second-floor situation which offers fabulous views across the Shropshire countryside. The property itself is the only apartment within the development which is exclusively laid out across the second floor and features generous proportions throughout, including a large, bright and peaceful lounge, a substantial breakfast kitchen and two very spacious double bedrooms. The master bedroom is potentially large enough to easily accommodate an en suite shower-room in addition to the main bathroom and the property also benefits from access to a basement storage area, accessed via a communal ground-floor hallway.
