OWNERS COMMENTS I love Ventnor! At times it seems we are in the Mediterranean. The way the houses cling to the hillside, the laid-back but bustling street life, the fishermen on the shore and the summer-gentle, winter-grand moods of the sea, it could be Sorrento. Yet we are on a British Isle, and I love that the flat is at the centre of town, with every convenience of British life within a short walk including supermarkets, buses, the post office, doctors, dentists, optician, restaurants, cafes, fish and chips, pubs, all in the same street block as we are. I love the view from our south-facing windows, of rooftops and the sea's horizon, with sudden glimpses of a yacht or a cruise liner passing. I love the flat, being on the second floor but having a lift, secure basement parking, good modern facilities and the cheapest energy bills that we have ever had. So why are we leaving? My partner really needs a garden. Love conquers all.
