Full Details for 2 Bedroom Bungalow for sale in Croydon, CR0 :
A lovely 2 bed bungalow recently refurbished to a high standard and available to the market with no onward chain.
Set in a quiet, residential cul-de-sac, the property was originally built in the 1920s before being extended and converted in 2008 to add a large annexe apartment, with further redevelopment taking place in 2016 to form 2 separate properties. Either property can be bought individually or, alternatively, the vendor will consider offers for both properties, as both are, of course, owned by the same vendor.
This property contains 2 adjacent bedrooms, both facing the front, with the bathroom conveniently situated across the hallway. The bathroom is currently presented as a wet room but has the space and flexibility to include a full bath if required. Additionally, it has underfloor heating and a duel-fuel heated towel rail.
The open plan kitchen has modern appliances and an adaptable work surface which can be tailored to suit the needs of the user. Off the kitchen there are definable lounge and dining areas, each of which offers access to the terrace and lawn via 2 sets of French doors. A retractable wooden staircase provides access to the loft which can be used for additional storage.
This home must be viewed internally to fully appreciate the possibilities on offer.
What our vendor says .
My brother and I were born and brought up in the house next door and my mother continued to live there until her late eighties when she could no longer manage the stairs. At that point we bought this house for her, and sold the house next door. We wanted my mother to live out her days in the road she loved, amongst the neighbours she had known so long.
The project to develop these properties originally grew from our wish to provide an ideal living environment for our mother in the final years of her life, anticipating her diminishing mobility. It was, therefore, very much a labour of love. There was never any question that we would maintain a high standard in our approach. My own professional interest in social housing also meant that I wished to develop both properties to the design criteria of the Lifetime Homes Standard (www.lifetimehomes.org.uk ), which seeks to provide, either from the outset or through simple and cost-effective adaptation, design solutions that meet the existing and changing needs of diverse households. Im sure this house will provide the benefits and flexibility that served our family so well.
