Broadhurst Park was opened in the 19th century and has footballing leisure facility in North Manchester, and provides a range of exciting and diverse activity opportunities and community events. It is key green space within the Irk Valley corridor. Broadhurst Park and Field stage summer funfairs, an annual bonfire and firework display and summer sports activities for children.
The majority of the site is open amenity grassland with some individual trees in grass. There is a formally laid out landscape area. The north aspect of the park accommodates informal recreation and community events. The southern section of the park contains relatively widespread woodland and a woodland walk.
