CHERITON FITZPAINE is a parish and substantial village approximately one and a half miles north-east of the Crediton/Tiverton A3072 road. It is a typical Mid Devon village with traditional white cottages and thatched roofs. There are 2 pubs, a post office/store and a doctors surgery. A brand new multi million pound primary school opened in October 2010 for 125 local children.
