Full Details for Detached for sale in Crediton, EX17 :

Barn with Prior Notification change of use acceptance for conversion to residential.

DESCRIPTION

Dovers Linhay is set in an idyllic setting with extensive views across some of the most beautiful Devon countryside. Although the barn is in a quiet and rural position it will not be remote as will be set within a small hamlet of other barn conversions and the original farmhouse. Less than a mile away is the sought after village of Cheriton Fitzpaine.

The scheme is for a two storey detached dwelling. At 2,346sqft the four bed conversion has very generous proportions.  The impressive hallway leads through to the substantial lounge which takes up almost half of the downstairs floor area.  Access to the terraced area and garden beyond can be gained via two bi-fold doors.  The utility and open plan kitchen/dining room can be accessed either from the hall or the lounge. From the hallway the stairs lead to the first floor landing from which access can be gained to all four double bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom is double aspect and benefits from a large ensuite and plenty of storage space.

Please note that additional land is available for purchase via separate negotiation.

CHERITON FITZPAINE
Cheriton Fitzpaine sits in a vast and hilly lowland region of Devon, 9 miles from the City of Exeter and 1.5 miles northeast of the Crediton/ Tiverton A3072 road – a route that could be argued to be one of the most stunning sunset drives in the county. The village appears timeless and has many listed cottages with the classic poured custard thatched roofs. Notably there’s also a gothic church, known for its hard edges and sharp peaks. There are two pubs, The Ring of Bells and The Half Moon Inn – both of which are unique, but equally Devonian in spirit. Cheriton Fitzpaine is a substantial size and has a multi-million pound primary school, a Doctor’s surgery and (as is essential) a post office/ shop. Local children are fortunate to be able to use (acquire grass stains in!) and shoot hoops in ‘Jack’s Acre’, a large playing field/ park maintained by the parish council. For foodies ‘Thornes Farm Shop’ is nearby, and is home to some exceptional quality, homegrown produce.  What’s not to like?

DIRECTIONS
• Leave Crediton via Exhibition Road (A3072)
• After 2 miles turn off left, signed ‘Chilton’
• Continue through Chilton & up the hill
• At the T-Junction turn right (Farringdon Hill)
• 0.25 miles the barns will be found ahead of you
