The Shepherd's Hut
An exciting opportunity to acquire this hand crafted, fully restored Shepherd's Hut. Working to replicate the original charm of the Shepherd's Hut whilst bringing modern durability with a carefully chosen range of materials provides us with a charming and practical space to serve a vast range of uses. The original steel axle and wheels sit below the fully rebuilt chassis and coachwork. The timber chassis and frame-work replicate the original with the use of modern joinery methods and fixings increasing the over all strength of the structure. The exterior coachwork has been crafted from galvanized corrugated iron (which can be painted) to offer a durable outer finish whilst timber twin opening windows to both sides fill the 'Hut' with natural light, a stable door opens to the front where a classic set of steps lead down. Inside timber panels conceal 40mm of 'Celotex' insulation making the space ever more practical whilst the arched timber roof has been painstaking aligned and truly reflects the attention to detail that has been given to this project. On the underside the wheels move freely on the axles and the rack and pinion steering mechanism has been carefully replicated to allow for easy localised movement by way of the steel draw bar.
'The project has been a pleasure' was the closing comment from our vendor and this really does show in the attention to detail and over all standard we now have to offer. Inspection by viewing is thoroughly recommended.
