Location | Luney Barton is a tiny hamlet of six individual properties located at the end of a very long entrance drive and surrounded by countryside. The nearest town is the market town of St. Austell about three miles distant. The recently regenerated St Austell town centre provides a wide range of shopping, educational and recreational facilities. There is a mainline railway station and leisure centre together with primary and secondary schools and supermarkets. The picturesque port of Charlestown and the award winning Eden Project are within a short drive. The town of Fowey is approximately 10 miles away and is well known for its restaurants and coastal walks and the city of Truro with its excellent shopping centre is about ten miles. Directions | Head out on to the A390 along the Sticker bypass. At Hewaswater garage turn left. Approximately 1/4 of a mile along the road, heading back towards Sticker, is a sign saying Lower Sticker. Taking the right turning signposted Lower Sticker. Follow the road along to the cross roads, turning right and head down. You will see Griggs store on your left hand side. Go past the main entrance of Griggs Store, follow the road for approximately 3/4 of a mile. You will notice a 'Slow' sign on the road. Approximately 80 yards along, as the road climbs, there is an open stone built, private driveway on the right, signposted Luney Barton. Turn right here, head down the private lane. In front of you, you will see a white gate of the property next door. Take the middle entrance and follow the road around to the left. Barton Meadow is set back behind the farmhouse gate and the annexe and driveway will be just before that on the left. |
