History
Rev J W R Boyer curate of Quorn from 1799 until 1832 lived at The Croft. The house was then passed to a succession of doctors including Dr Samuel Harris, his son and then Dr James Arthur Unitt who all conducted their practice from the house. Like many General Practioners at the beginning of the 20th Century Dr Unitt (1860 - 1949) made his round in a horse-drawn trap being driven by a groom who wore a smart livery and top hat. Dr Unitt took an active part in the life of Quorn and his concern was commemorated in the road that bears his name, just off Wood Lane within the village. The footway visible in the old photo was made from granite setts probably quarried in the Parish. The metal railing also visible were probably removed during the First World War for munitions.

Ground Floor
An original six panelled door with glazed fan light opens into a grand entrance hall that features an original staircase that rises to all floors, tiled floor and a rear hallway with characterful flagstone floor extends towards the rear garden.
