“As soon as we saw this house it immediately felt like home, even though it was a little shabby at the time. We shall be sad to leave but it is really too large for us now. It has always been a very happy house and, even if one of us was on our own here we never felt isolated because the neighbours and the rest of the villagers are so friendly. We are members of the local pub bat and trap team and even started a singing group that everyone seems to enjoy.
All our friends and relations love to come here and just ‘chill out’ as it is so very relaxing and peaceful. As well as our patio, vine covered pergola and balcony we also have a little courtyard area that gets plenty of sunshine and is our little private retreat during the day. We can even look at the olive tree we planted that has grown very well, despite the fact we are not in the Mediterranean – although the sandy beaches of Thanet are not far away!
We are also only a mile from Minster, which has everything you need for day to day living from grocery stores to hairdressers and doctors’ surgeries to restaurants, as well as the station for Canterbury and London.”
