“This house has been in our family for the past 30 years and has been a wonderful home for everyone involved. It has such a welcoming ambience and I wake up every morning, look across the bay and think that I am permanently on holiday. What we really love is the peace and tranquility that the area provides. We have very little traffic along our road and the nearby Westgate seafront is delightful. In many ways, while the donkey rides may no longer exist, it has hardly changed in more than 50 years and the lovely beach is still a magnet for families arriving with their buckets and spades throughout the summer. Westgate golf course is a stone’s throw from the house and it is nice to be able to go out to play or practice after work or in the summer evenings.
Westgate is a friendly community with easy access to the Thanet Way for Canterbury and London. It includes a parade of canopied and individual shops as well as a mainline station, a cinema and some excellent pubs and local eateries. At the same time we are not far from Margate with its own attractions, whether you want to wander round the Old Town, try some of the delightful restaurants or look at the exhibits at the Turner Gallery.”
