Full Details for 5 Bedroom Terraced for sale in Westgate-on-Sea, CT8 :

This charming Edwardian three-storey seaside villa is ideal as a permanent home but would also make a wonderful place to ‘getaway- from-it-all’ at weekends and for holidays. It is set well back from the road with an attractive front garden while, at the back, there are uninterrupted sea views, a courtyard and direct access to a large communal grassy area where children can play to their hearts’ content. The property is just across the road from the magnificent Westgate Bay – a vast sandy beach that is ideal for children to build sand castles and where they can safely learn to swim in the summer. In the winter it is a wonderful spot for bracing walks with the dog. The main-line station is also conveniently placed for commuting and visitors. The ground floor includes a well-fitted kitchen with a built-in double-oven and gas hob, an integrated fridge and freezer as well as a dishwasher and a space for a washing machine. This opens out to a courtyard garden that makes an excellent outdoor room. There is a cosy sitting room with a real log fire and a large bay window overlooking the sea and an attractive dining room where family and friends can gather for a relaxing meal. Plenty of flexible accommodation is available upstairs. On the first floor there is the family bathroom and two double-bedrooms as well as a single that could be used as a study or nursery. The top floor consists of two double-bedrooms with magnificent views across Westgate Bay that would be ideal for guests over the weekend or for older children wanting a bit of space.

What the Owner says:

There are 35 miles of walks along the seawall or you can also cycle along this stretch of coastal promenade. In many ways, while the donkey rides may no longer exist, the vast West Bay and promenade has hardly changed in more than 50 years but it has ‘blue flag’ status, so we know it is very clean and safe for all the family to swim. We never get tired of looking at the ever-changing sea view and the tidal movement of the sea as well as the amazing ‘Turner’ skies and after a weekend at our ‘beach home’ we always feel we have been on holiday. Westgate is a very friendly place and there is a delightful parade of individual shops and a local cinema that shows all the latest films as well as a main-line station and easy access to the Thanet Way. We are not far from Margate with its Old Town eateries and shops as well as the Turner Contemporary gallery. Added to that the historic Dreamland amusement park will be re-opening in June, so there are plenty of activities available to suit all ages and tastes.
