'What the Vendor says'We were initially looking in the trendy East Dulwich but found that, a mile down the street, Forest Hill offers the same house for literally half the money! No wonder SE23 is a favourite with Phil and Kirsty on Location Location!! I usually pass up the fifteen minute train journey to the City in favour of a thirty minute bike ride past Peckham Rye park and along the old canal path which, via a few residential streets, brings me to London Bridge. Our neighbour cycles to Canary Wharf or jumps on the Overground. We've been impressed by the amount of green space around: Blythe Hill Park - with its fantastic views over London, the Horniman Museum and Park, Mayo Park and a lovely walk along the river where we often see Herons and Kingfishers called River Pool which can take you all the way to Greenwich. We've enjoyed the growing cafe culture in Forest Hill with St David's Coffee House being a real favourite. One of the top Indian restaurants in the UK - Babur - is just around the corner serving Indian fine dining that is second to none We always visit when we return to London from Bristol. We've got to know a lot of the families in the street and there is a real sense of community. It would really be hard to find a nicer place to live anywhere in London.
