Located within the sought after South Worcestershire settlement of Defford, Harewell House is situated towards the base of a village cul-de-sac, situated adjacent to the Parish Church and culminating in the Millenium Green Breathing Space; a community recreational area. Defford is conveniently located between the towns of Pershore and Upton on Severn and is surrounded by magnificent countryside. The village has a strong sense of community and the newly completed village hall offers a multitude of activities to suit most tastes. Apart from its sociable pubs, the closest one being just a short walk from the house, the village is very proud of its traditional cider house. This is located in a charming thatched cottage where the cider is served through a hatch in the wall. Malvern is quite close, as are other pretty towns and villages synonymous with this beautiful part of the country. Sellers InsightOn our house hunting quest, we were thrilled to discover this lovely house, quietly tucked away in this pretty village, comment Michael and Tracey. Built by a local builder with an exceptional reputation for quality and high specification, the house had everything we required. With its contemporary design, accommodation is highly versatile and well proportioned which has provided us with numerous options as to how we utilise the space. A particular draw to the house was the spacious sitting room, which features a large brick inglenook fireplace that houses a wood burner. This is a room for all seasons, lovely and cosy in the winter whilst in the summer it captures the sun and when the patio doors are open the garden becomes part of the room.It will be a sad time for us when we say farewell to what has been such a happy home for us. The space and convenience for family occasions such as Christmas, when lots of generations fill the house have been perfect for us. We will also miss the location that enables us to walk out of the front door and within a few steps be into the open countryside.
