Full Details for 5 Bedroom Detached for sale in Okehampton, EX20 :
Architecturally designed and built in 2009, this stunning family house boasts 3200 sqft including 5 bedrooms (3 en-suite), bi-fold doors out from large kitchen/dining room and from living room onto the enclosed rear garden.
DESCRIPTION Located on the edge of the small market town of Hatherleigh in West Devon, Red Oaks was architecturally designed with major input from the current owners to create a wonderful, light and spacious family home. It is clear that a high level of thought was invested into the design and build with an excellent finish and attention to detail.
The house was designed with modern family living in mind with a large and social family kitchen/breakfast room with large bi-fold doors opening onto the front courtyard. All of the reception rooms link and flow well, again with bi-fold doors out onto the decking and enclosed rear garden. The entrance hall and landing are real features, both flooded with light and show the quality and the space available. There are 5 bedrooms to the first floor, 3 of which with en-suite bathrooms plus a large family bathroom, all of which are well fitted and beautifully presented.
Outside, the driveway and front garden set it back from the road with brick paving providing ample parking and leading to the integral double garage with electric up and over doors. To the rear is a level and enclosed garden, mainly lawned with a large decked area accessed from the living room and dining room, giving ample space and would be ideal for families and keen gardeners alike.
HATHERLEIGH is a pretty and active market town with a supermarket, several locally owned shops and cafes, fuel garage with shop, a post office, a bank, primary school, pre school and children’s centre, churches, inns, doctors and a vets surgery. The town has a Community Centre, where every month the cinema club is held. The town (the smallest Market Town in Devon!) is mentioned in the Domesday Book and received a charter from Henry III in 1220 to hold a weekly market, which is still held every Tuesday.
DIRECTIONS Approaching Hatherleigh on the A386, take the second exit from the mini-roundabout into Bridge Street and then the second right turn into South Street. Continue up the hill and this road becomes Victoria Road, continue on this road and Red Oaks will be found on the left hand side.
