First impressions in life are everything and when you arrive outside this stunning example of 1930s architecture it is almost impossible not to be impressed. The kerb appeal of this home is second to none as the property is surrounded by an attractive, low level waved wall either side of a gate that leads through a well-maintained front garden to a horseshoe shaped entrance. Before you have even walked through the front door it is easy to fall for this property and once inside it just gets better and better. The hallway should be classed as a room in its own right; inviting would be an understatement! All the rooms and a grand staircase lead from here forming a practical layout. Three reception rooms provide ample living space giving this home versatility. Adults could have a lounge to themselves, while children have their own playroom, with a separate dining room to gather family and friends for Sunday lunch and special occasions. The large kitchen with its central island, with hobs and breakfast bar, could be the setting for more informal gatherings and keen cooks will have plenty of surface and storage space. Five double bedrooms give you very comfortable sleeping arrangements and with a family bathroom, shower room and a cloakroom there are plenty of facilities to cater for the family. With a spacious, sunny, enclosed back garden for outdoor fun and games for the kids, and a garage and off road parking, this could be described as the perfect family home.
What the Owner says:
We have lived here since 1988, whilst raising our family and working locally. We definitely feel that fate played a hand in bringing us to this house. When we first saw it, we fell in love but were devastated to be told it had just been sold, but then luckily the other buyer’s chain fell through and we had a second chance to snap it up! The kitchen was always at the heart of our home, as it’s where we gathered for family meals every night. We have also hosted many a dinner party in the dining room and always had ample room for guests to stay over. As green-fingered gardeners, we loved the large, sun-filled garden and always took great pleasure in having enough space to grow both flowers and vegetables. What it really needs is another family to enjoy it as much as we have.
