Full Details for 5 Bedroom Detached for sale in Canterbury, CT4 :

This property offers the perfect combination of rural living with the 21st Century home comforts and conveniences such as mains drainage. Nestling in the charming village of Bossingham, this eco friendly and spacious property was constructed to a very high standard about three years ago. It is extremely cost effective to run as the house incorporates Air source heating systems for domestic hot water and central heating as well as a 3000 litre rain water harvester, supplying both of the first floor toilets and the outside tap. It also includes a CAT 6 electrical installation - a wiring system for high speed computer connection. So anyone working from home in the attractive study can really benefit from this facility.

This five bedroom home offers everything needed for a growing family, including a large well fitted kitchen/breakfast room, where everyone can congregate. This has access to the good sized and easy-to-maintain garden so you can always potter outside and relax in the sunshine. Alternatively, you can wander down the road to the excellent pub or take the dog for a walk on the nearby Minnis or along country footpaths.

The flexible accommodation includes a large and welcoming entrance hall with glazed double doors to the elegant sitting room, so this makes an ideal overall space for parties and family gatherings. At the same time, the dining room is just the place for a formal dinner with friends or a Sunday lunch get together. With a large modern bathroom and five double bedrooms with one en suite, there is plenty of room for family and guests, who can also take advantage of the large garage and driveway providing car parking for a number of vehicles.

What the Owner says:

“We bought this house from new and have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It is very quiet and peaceful and the village is very friendly while the dogs love to be able to stretch their legs on the wonderful walks in the surrounding countryside. The house has been a real joy – and for a property of this size, it is incredibly inexpensive to run. The insulation is so good that we can set the thermostat to say 20 degrees and the property remains at that temperature virtually all the time yet the radiators hardly ever get warm. The insulation material in the roof is extremely thick and even the ground floor is insulated and suspended so, unlike most other properties, it is not directly onto concrete.
Although we are out in the country, the house is very central as we are not far from Canterbury. Folkestone and Ashford are also easily accessible. There is a regular bus service through the village, the acclaimed Stelling Minnis primary school is on the doorstep and Stelling Minnis village is only about a mile away with its excellent pub and wonderful village store providing all your immediate needs. We have a nearby farm shop as well as a village cricket club and village hall and, for horse mad youngsters, there is a first class riding stables not far away.”
