Full Details for 5 Bedroom Detached for sale in Deal, CT14 :
Hidden away in a private enclave in the village of Sholden, this delightful family home is just waiting to welcome the right owner. It is one of only four elegant detached properties in Fairfield, built about 20 years ago by a well respected local builder. This house is a real family home with plenty of flexible accommodation, whether you have young children, teenagers or even older family members as the attractively styled oversized double garage is separate and could easily be converted to additional livingquarters, with the appropriate planning permission. There is also a brick paved driveway in front of the garage that can accommodate a number ofcars. The spacious entrance hall leads to the warm and colourful kitchen/ breakfast room with its deep turquoise units, different coloured tiles, alovely range cooker and dishwasher and nearby utility room. The kitchen is just the place to enjoy cooking delicious meals for friends and family, whileeveryone can sit around the table and join in. The formal dining room leads from the breakfast area and the dining room has glazed double doors to the elegant lounge. This in turn has double doors to the hall so the house really lends itself to entertaining as guests can literally flow through most of the main areas downstairs. The dining room is light and airy with sliding doors to the patio and the lounge includes a bay window. There is also a good sized study that is ideal for one or two people who would like to work from home or for children looking for their own separate space.Upstairs, the master bedroom includes built-in wardrobes and an archway to the en suite shower room. The very good sized second bedroom has a range of wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom. There is a third double bedroom and two large single rooms as well as a family bathroom. Outside, in addition to the rear garden there is a separate garden the other side ofthe garage where the children can pitch their tents, kick a football around and have fun with their friends.
The moment we saw this house 12 years ago, we realised it was our dream home as it would be an ideal place to bring up a family. It is really great for children as we feel the area is very safe and secure. Also there is a very good primary school, which was another reason why we decided to move here. We feel that living in Sholden has provided the best of both worlds – rural but not isolated. It is just a short walk down the road to the bus for Deal, Canterbury and Sandwich.
Had we been staying here we had plans to convert the existing garage into a granny annexe for our elderly relatives and then build another garage on part of the second garden. Although we have not gone ahead
with that plan as we are moving, it would be an option for any future owner to consider. Indeed, there is even enough space to change the garage into another house.
Sholden is a delightful and friendly village with a pub and plenty of areas where you can enjoy bracing walks and the nearby facilities. These include Cottingham Lakes for anyone interested in fishing and the
Fowlmead Country Park, with its two mile tarmac cycle track, leisure paths for walking and established woodlands, wetlands and reed beds full of wildlife, is ideal for a family afternoon outing with the dogs. Two
well stocked farm shops can be found within a about a mile and the renowned Northbourne Park prep school and pre-prep school are just three and a half miles away.
