Full Details for 5 Bedroom Bungalow for sale in Birchington, CT7 :
To fully appreciate this expanding property you need to cross the threshold. Once through the large and attractive front door you are transported into a spacious hall with a galleried landing and a large archway through to the vast open-plan lounge and dining room that flows round to the beautifully fitted kitchen. This light and airy space, with a wall of windows and French doors out to the very attractive garden, is breath taking. The whole ambience is very relaxing and is designed for entertaining so, whether you want to hold a large party or invite your friends to dinner, it offers something really special. Just inside the front entrance is an attractive office that is very useful if you are working from home as business visitors do not need to go through the rest of the house. There is a well-fitted ground floor double-bedroom adjacent to the large modern bathroom that is ideal as a guest suite or for elderly relatives who may not wish to go upstairs. The first floor consists of three delightful double-bedrooms with one en suite and a family shower room leading from a very spacious landing, so there is plenty of space for a growing family. You can wander outside into the charming garden that has been thoughtfully designed for easy maintenance, with a large terrace for al fresco dining and a variety of attractive trees and shrubs including a rare walnut tree. While, at the front of the house, there is a brick paved frontage that can accommodate at least five cars and leads to the double garage with an internal door to the reception hall, so it is easy to bring in shopping from the car and you won’t get wet on a rainy day.
“We bought this property in 2003 as the area is so quiet and peaceful. We spent a couple of years extending the house to become the beautiful home it is today and have thoroughly enjoyed living here for the past 10 years, however we have decided it is time to move nearer to our family. Over the years we have been able to host some memorable parties and regularly entertain our friends and family at dinners and barbecues and, because it is such a peaceful and safe area, even our garden attracts a variety of wildlife including birds, squirrels, foxes and hedgehogs. We love the fact we are only about three minutes’ walk from the cliff top and yet not far from the town centre or the fabulous Minnis Bay with its vast sandy beaches. Birchington, with its variety of individual shops, restaurants, pubs and main-line station, is only about five minutes’ walk away and provides everything we want for our daily needs. Everyone is very friendly and helpful whether it is the local shopkeeper’s or even the bank staff. At the same time it is not far to Westwood Cross and the Thanet Way for easy access to Canterbury and London. We even have a bowls club and a tennis club virtually on the doorstep and it is a great area for walking and cycling.”
