The larger town of Okehampton nestles on the Northern fringes of the Dartmoor National Park, within the town there is a wide range of local and national shops to include a Waitrose and a Victorian shopping arcade. For those keen on sport there are thriving football, rugby and golf clubs and a leisure centre with swimming pool and gym. Education caters for children up to the age of eighteen. From Okehampton the Cathedral City of Exeter is less than 30 minutes away by car, from here further road links to the M5 can be found.
