Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Lewes, BN7 :
When approaching this house from the street, you could be forgiven for thinking it as just another ordinary home. However, it is SO MUCH MORE! The property was once the village Dairy and shop, hence the name, and a lot of the original features are still in place. The building at the bottom of the garden was once a milking shed and has since been re-developed to incorporate a bathroom and two further rooms with a multitude of uses. The kitchen area enables flexibility for a variety of living styles. Coffee mornings, family get-togethers, even the kids doing homework whilst preparing meals – all of these are possible thanks to the breakfast area space accompanying it. For more formal occasions, the actual dining area is situated to the front, which was once the old shop for the Dairy in years gone by.Upstairs, flexible living accommodation is furthered thanks to three good sized bedrooms and an immaculate bathroom suite. The added bonus here is that if you are a larger family, there is ANOTHER shower room on the ground floor, so those waiting in a queue in the mornings will become a thing of the past. A further lounge on the ground floor, as well as a conservatory for reading on any given Sunday complete the composition of this rather charming house.Come and see what this truly unique piece of history has to offer. You won’t be disappointed!
We chose this house thanks to the perfect mix of lovely community, decent transport links to London and Brighton, as well as lovely countryside close to the South Downs. We've enjoyed some wonderful walks and sampled many of the delights at the local pubs and eateries. Our home is one of character and draped with local history, having been a pillar of the village for many years and we have managed to retain a lot of the original features. The sunny garden is very private and has given us many happy days of sunshine. This warm and welcoming home has been great for the kids as they grew older as well as friends and family when they come to visit.
