Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Dunstable, LU5 :

Elm Grove has always been a location favoured by buyers as it is a small cul de sac on the edge of the highly sought after Alma Farm and is within a few minutes' walk of both the village Schools, facilities and High Street. This style of property is quite different and only three of them were built making them quite individual.Despite the modern appearance, it has an almost period feel with nicely styled interior - the majority of the rooms have been decorated with Farrow & Ball paint shades and it is well presented throughout. The well designed accommodation features an entrance hall, cloakroom, large living room with an open fire and double doors leading into the dining room. The kitchen is also well proportioned and leads off the dining room and entrance hall. Upstairs off the landing is the master bedroom and refitted ensuite shower room, there are then three further bedrooms and the refitted family bathroom. We love the easterly facing rear garden, it has so many mature shrubs and features. There is then a secret garden that is through a trellis arch and is lawned. From here you will find the superb log cabin that measures 16' x 9'5 and makes for an excellent work from home space. Please call the team at Local Agent Network on 01525 876600 to book your appointment to view.

General
There were only 3 of this house type built in the popular cul de sac and as such they are quite rare to the market. Elm Grove is well regarded and an attractive area with a small green and trees. Our owners have lived here for 22 years and have raised their three children and run 2 businesses from home - they love the area they have great neighbours who are a mixture of families and retirees. The location is ideal and very convenient with a little alley way at the top of the road taking you through towards the 2 villages schools and the village centre & shops are within a few minute's walk.Despite the modern exterior, the inside of this home almost has a period feel - many of the rooms have been decorated with a range of Farrow & Ball paints and the ground floor accommodation has been very sociably laid out.The welcoming entrance hall has a multi glazed door and matching side wing into the living room and the carpeted staircase takes you up to the first floor landing. The striking Merbau wood floor follows from the hall into the living room and dining room.Off the hall is the cloakroom that has been fitted with a 2 piece suite and has a Chinese slate floor. The living room is really generously sized - there is a walk in bay window and casement door that leads out into the garden and probably one of the main features of the room is the open fire with a marble inset & hearth and has a dark wood surround. Double doors take you through to the dining room that has a dropped window again enjoying a view to the rear garden and has a door to the kitchen.A local cabinet maker fitted the kitchen with a range of bespoke pine units finished with a solid beech work tops, these incorporate the Butler sink and there are 2 curtained recess ideal to house a dishwasher and washing machine. The 'unfitted' design of the kitchen extends to the larder cabinet and the dresser. The focal point of the room is the range styled cooker and the Chinese slate floor (this has been fitted wall to wall). A box bay window looks out to the front garden and green in the close. A handy door leads to the gated side passageway linking the front and rear gardens.Upstairs the landing has doors leading to all the rooms and has a double airing cupboard. The master bedroom has a fitted double wardrobe and faces to the front of the house. A door leads through to the refitted ensuite shower room. There are then three further bedrooms and the spacious refitted family bathroom.

Externally
There is quite a deep frontage made up of the driveway and a long garden - if required the next owner could look to pave part of the garden that would mean you could park three cars side by side, consent may be required to drop part of the kerb. The front garden has perennials, lawn and a very established fig tree. The garage has an up and over door, power and light are also connected together with a water supply. We really like the back garden - it has been designed to create a cottage garden feel with selective planting of flowers, shrubs and climbers that have matured over the years and continue to be a source of enjoyment to our owners. There are many interesting features throughout the garden that include a pond with a slate waterfall feature (there is a child safety cover that can be left), a stone circular patio and stepping stones that lead you to a trellis and arch leading into a lovely hidden garden area. This has been lawned and has planted borders. The Finnish garden studio is a real bonus - it measures 16'0\" x 9'5\" and is ideal for a 'work from home' environment. It has an insulated roof and floor and has power and light connected. The double glazed doors and windows face out to the garden. The power supply is separate and it is alarmed and has the connection for a phone line and internet.
