Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Crediton, EX17 :
Threshing Barn is pleasantly situated at the end of a lane giving it a lovely rural position, yet not isolated due to the horseshoe of barn conversions. It has great access to Spreyton (1 mile) and the A30 (2.5 miles). The barn is largely detached (only adjoined by the utility room corner) and faces away from the horseshoe onto its own gardens.
The beautiful accommodation has many highlights (the Virtual Video is really worth a watch!), none more so than the amazing kitchen diner which has been created from the former Round House and enjoys vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and a great deal of glass doors which can open for the perfect entertaining area. The open living space enjoys a great sized living room with large brick built fireplace, an open Oak staircase and a lovely snug area. The ground floor is completed with a utility room and downstairs cloakroom with w.c.
The first floor enjoys a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a guest bedroom with en-suite shower room, a third bedroom and family bathroom – All enjoying built in wardrobes. There is also a lovely study which forms part of a mezzanine area in the round house, this could be used as an occasional 4th bedroom, or a partition wall and a skylight could be added (subject to permissions) for a long term 4th bed. The whole property is double glazed and centrally heated, with the ground floor enjoying under-floor heating.
The vendor has gone to great lengths to present the character accommodation in first class order giving it the feel of a brand new conversion.
The barn is surrounded by its private gardens which are largely laid to lawn, with the addition of a stone chipped courtyard area taking in some lovely rural views, with a number of windows also enjoying various far reaching views. There are numerous sheds, a large open fronted carport with storage behind and parking for four further vehicles too.
Threshing Barn is in an idyllic, rural position on the edge of Dartmoor yet merely a stone’s throw from the City – just 4 minutes to the A30 and 20 minutes to the centre of Exeter. Perfectly placed for those wishing to escape to the countryside after a busy day in the City.
SPREYTON is one of the areas most picturesque villages situated some 4 miles from Bow and 4 miles from Whiddon Down and access to the A30 dual carriageway to Exeter and Okehampton. The village is best known for its famous old inn, The Tom Cobley Tavern. It has a garage, primary school and historic parish church.
