Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Dorking, RH4 :
Family living at its best with an abundance of space inside, combined with easy commuting into London thanks to all three stations being within walking distance. Back in the 1800s the house was home to the wheelwright of Dorking who repaired carriages on their journey from London to the south. High ceilings, stripped floors and original doors are the first thing you'll notice from the elegant hall. You can watch the family relax in comfort in the lounge with their feet up in front of a roaring fire. If entertaining is more your thing then you will love the layout of the dining room and kitchen which open up onto each other brilliantly and with a show stopping fireplace, this impressive space really is the hub of the home. The basement is vast and could be transformed into additional rooms for anyone with an eye for detail. Upstairs the feeling of space certainly continues with no danger of ever not being able to accommodate multiple guests thanks to the sheer size of the bedrooms. Outside, the garden has plenty of room to enjoy some sunshine and have a barbecue and the park is just moments away if the kids want to feed the ducks or tire themselves out in the play area. The views to the rear of the property are rather special giving the feeling of being in the countryside despite being in the centre of the town, with all of Dorking's finest schools at your finger tips! Complete with a gated driveway, this home encapsulates family living effortlessly.
We moved here from just round the corner in Hart Gardens so we fully appreciated town centre life and all the huge benefits it had to offer. We loved the convenience and were drawn to the character and charm that you would expect of a Grade II listed house and could see easily how we could soon turn it into a family home. The driveway at the rear was also a massive plus for us as was the size of each of the bedrooms! Since living here we have stripped the floors, redecorated throughout and have also made the garden more private and family friendly. Recently we have also had the bathroom replaced and an additional toilet added downstairs which is just great for family life! We are now looking to take the next step up the ladder but will definitely be staying local.
