The changes down stairs have opened up the kitchen and dining area into what everyone considers to be the heart of the home and forming access to the attached double garage has meant we can accommodate utilities such as washing machine and tumble dryer there away from the kitchen.
We have enjoyed living in Stumps with it's easy access to the local beach, Headon Warren, and the facilities in both Totland and Freshwater. Being so close to Yarmouth means that we can enjoy all of the facilities there too plus of course access to the ferry link.
We will miss the the house the area and our neighbours too.

Surrounding Area | Totland Bay is a bay on the west coast of the Isle of Wight, England. It lies to the west of the village of Totland from which it takes its name. It faces north west and its shoreline is 4km in length and is made up of a straight west facing coast which has a beach, concrete seawall and pier with a straight north facing rocky coastline. It stretches from Warden Point in the north to Hatherwood Point in the south west. The seabed is a mixture of mud and sand. Since 2001 the quality of the beach has been high enough for it to be awarded the Seaside Award Flag. In the summer, litter and seaweed are removed each day, with the latter being composted by local farmers. The bay is best viewed from Headon Warren or anywhere along the concrete seawall. |
Local Beach | Totland Bay is a picturesque sandy beach, ideal for swimming, with clear turquoise waters and far reaching views to the mainland. The Bay is located on the West of the Isle of Wight, close to the village. The sandy shores back onto a seawall where the sand turns to pebbles. The coastline here is rocky yet for the most part covered in a thick blanket of trees and greenery. Walk further east at dusk and you will find rod and line fishers. |
