Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Hythe, CT21 :

The location is the key to any property and this property has it all. Set back from the road on the outskirts of Saltwood village in 0.494 of an acre of beautifully kept grounds, and surrounded by playing fields and Brockhill Park, this delightful 1920s Arts and Crafts family home with a separate annex is a stunner. From the moment you see the exterior beams and original Tudor-style front door you know you will be in for a real treat. You can create a gourmet meal in the charming country-style kitchen/breakfast room with its vertical beams mixed with modern accoutrements, relax in front of the magnificent fireplace in the charming beamed sitting room or entertain your guests in the warm and friendly dining room.

Leading off the unusual beamed landing you will find the family bathroom and four delightful bedrooms, including an impressive master en-suite with panoramic views across the grounds and playing fields. The well-stocked garden offers something for everyone. There is a koi carp pond, a wildlife pond and even a goldfish pond surrounded by magnificent rhododendrons, magnolias and other mature shrubs, trees and flowerbeds as well as a private gate into the playing fields, where you can walk the dogs or just listen to the birds and breathe in the fresh air. A secluded courtyard is ideal for al fresco entertaining where you can sit beneath the attractive pergola. The annex was completed about a year ago and will make a wonderful separate home for a family member or could produce an income as a holiday let. To take full advantage of the magnificent views, the vaulted living room and kitchen are upstairs opening on to a balcony, while the bedrooms, bathroom and utility room are on the ground floor.

What the Owner says:

Sadly, for health reasons, we now have to move but will be very sorry to leave our wonderful home. It is a very safe area and Saltwood is such a quintessential and friendly English village with its village green, pub and church and, of course, a privately-owned castle. There is also a village shop and a lovely restaurant as well as the cricket club and indoor tennis at Hayne Barn. Our daughter has done extremely well at the nearby Brockhill school but there are also many other excellent schools in the vicinity. We can easily walk to Sandling mainline station and there is a regular bus service to Canterbury, Folkestone and into the seaside town of Hythe, which is only a mile away. Here you can buy your groceries, venture into one of the very individual shops or just sit at the pavement café's and watch the world go by. For the more energetic there is the Imperial Hotel by the sea with its golf course, swimming pool, spa and tennis courts and other sporting facilities are available such as sailing and the Henry-Cotton designed Sene Valley Golf course.
