The kitchen/breakfast room is spacious too and flooded with light from the 3 windows and half glazed door. What the owner likes ....
We fell in love with this property when we viewed it and having lived here for 9 years we know this property and can say that it is a really special place in which to live. It is so private and secluded being one of just 3 properties on this part of the road and it therefore gives you the feeling of being in the country but yet we are so close to all amenities with 2 bus stops nearby with a very frequent service. We are in a South facing location and can enjoy the sunshine all day and evening and this is also extremely economical keeping our heating bills low. We love the triple aspect lounge with its peaceful garden views and the apple tree gives much needed shade in the height of Summer. The spacious rooms internally provide us with plenty of space in which to entertain family and friends who also have loved staying here. It has taken us a very long time to make the decision to leave as we have enjoyed living here so much.
Bear in mind ....
In addition to the wonderful spacious internal accommodation this home is set amidst the most beautiful gardens. On approaching the property via a tarmac private road there is a substantial area of kitchen garden on the right packed with fruits and vegetables such as strawberry, raspberry, tayberry, gooseberry, red and blackcurrant, eating and cooking apple, cabbage, onions and runner beans. To the left is a garden which sweeps across the front of the property and wraps around the side. This is packed with a stunning array of colourful perennial planting with specimen shrubs too such as azalea, agapanthus, calla lily, peonies, iris, grape hyacinth, clematis and osteospermum to name but a few. The front garden is mainly laid to lawn with flower borders. The rear garden is mainly laid to paving interspersed with areas of planting. It is on 2 levels with a feature brick wall. This garden has more of a Mediterranean feel to it and once again it is completely secluded with fenced borders and some mature hedging. The rear door of the garage is easily accessed from here and a useful wooden storage shed is also included. The vendors are also including a greenhouse with the sale. It is also worthy of note that in addition to the Saunier Duval boiler there is a pressurized expansion tank providing power showers to the 2 en suite shower rooms upstairs and the downstairs shower located in the bathroom. The current owners have upgraded the radiators and some are thermostatically controlled. The good sized garage which is brick built has light and power and an excellent workbench with vice. This is a truly wonderful property in the most enchanting location and a viewing is highly recommended to fully appreciate the superb lifestyle this unique home offers.
