Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Hythe, CT21 :
The attractive and unusually designed this property on the outskirts of Hythe provides plenty of opportunity for flexible living. The majority of the spacious rooms are on the ground floor and flow through to each other from the large and warmly coloured hall to create a wonderful environment for friends and family. You can enjoy cooking and looking at the panoramic view across to the sea from the immaculate kitchen/breakfast room that incorporates a built-in oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer or sit around the table in the lovely light and bright dining room. Alternatively you can watch TV and chat in the large and elegant sitting room with its plethora of windows overlooking the garden. There is also a shower room as well as a double-bedroom and good sized office/playroom on the ground floor and, with minimum effort, it would be possible to convert these rooms into a separate annex for elderly relatives if required. Upstairs, you can sit up in bed in the main bedroom in the morning with a cup of tea admiring the early morning sunshine over the sea or enjoy a bath or shower in the modern bathroom with its walk-in dressing room. There is also a second small double-bedroom and a large landing with even space for a desk, so this could be a self-contained area for parents or older children looking for a little privacy. The easy to-manage garden and terrace make an ideal outdoor room in the summer where you can enjoy having a barbecue and the house is only a few minutes’ walk to the centre of the historic Cinque Port town of Hythe, with its range of supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants.
“We moved here 11 years ago as we wanted somewhere with plenty of rooms on the ground floor. We have thoroughly enjoyed completely refurbishing the house throughout to provide a wonderful home for ourselves and a holiday home for all the family who love to visit on a regular basis. It is a great place for entertaining and we have hosted some memorable Christmas parties and family events over the years. The grandchildren are delighted that it is only a short trip to the beach and the historic Military Canal, providing wonderful walks and cycle rides along the canal path as well as being the venue for the famous bi-annual Hythe Venetian Fete. The Imperial Hotel with its golf course, swimming pool, spa and other sporting facilities is nearby and, for the keen golfer, there is also the Henry Cotton-designed Sene Valley Golf course just over a mile away.
Another great family favourite is the world’s smallest public railway that trundles from Hythe through Romney Marsh to Dungeness. Hythe is a charming and friendly town and whether you want to buy your
groceries, venture into one of the very individual shops or just sit at the pavement cafés and watch the world go by, the town offers something for everyone.”
