A substantial and delightful home that comes with extremely generous grounds of 1.2 acres and also provides glorious distant views. The grounds are ideal for children to enjoy and explore, furthermore, to grow your own produce or for keen gardeners to be able to create and maintain their own beautiful gardens.
The home is situated on the edge of the Island’s capital, so benefits from all its conveniences whilst at the same time having the feeling of privacy and seclusion. The property offers a great deal of space and flexibility and it can also have the main accommodation based upon one level alone or even combined as two, as it has done previously.
Within the main home, it provides you with three double bedrooms, superb open-plan lounge area with dining and kitchen areas that look out onto wonderful far-reaching views, as well as a utility area, family bathroom and en-suite to bedroom 1. Currently on the lower ground floor level, it is arranged as a one bedroom annex providing a healthy income, however, as the staircase still remains in place, it can be reconnected to the main home to provide even greater levels of living space to the whole house, if so required.
Externally, beyond the delightful and generous grounds, there is an extensive terrace on the ground floor level that extends onto the main home from the dining, kitchen and utility areas as well as Bedroom 1. The views from the main windows of the home and the terrace are far-reaching, where from a central point of the Island you look out over countryside, the coastline and prominent mainland points. Additionally to this, you have driveway parking and hard standing and the potential for garaging.
What the Owner says:
We were looking for a property for a reasonably long time when we came across this one. It was bigger then what we needed and was in need of lots of work, but that wasn’t enough to put us off!
Over the eight years, we have completely renovated our home, installing a modern bathroom, kitchen area, en-suite and just generally keeping it up to date.
Having the annex downstairs has provided us with a steady income in our retirement which was also a huge selling point for us. If we could cope with the maintenance of the large gardens we wouldn’t be moving, but unfortunately we now have to downsize.
