Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in St. Neots, PE19 :

Our writer Isobella expressed \"I love my job, it's full of surprises!! As a resident of St Neots I didn't know the The Hives existed and yet, there it is, just off the St Neots Road and only a five minute walk from the town centre. The Hives sounds cosy, a nice wholesome name and indeed, No 4 is, being situated within a small cluster of rather handsome houses. Mock-Tudor in style with traditional dark wood beams, the house was built in the 1980's, an era synonymous with the upwardly mobile, people wanting more for their money and a desire to improve the quality of their life. And No 4 will improve the quality of someone's life, beautifully proportioned, clean and very well maintained, this is a home ready to move straight in to and enjoy.Come with me and let me show you around.Through the front door we enter a surprisingly spacious hall with staircase and the first impression was one of light and plenty of it. To the right is the office, and I mean office; the room is fully fitted with fantastic soft blue/grey office units, which creates a really professional working area. There are double aspect windows and plenty of room for the most grand of swivel chairs. Moving on there is a very smart downstairs loo, but it's the kitchen I want you to visit next. I do love a good kitchen and I so loved this one. Again, the light pouring in through, no less than, three windows really brings an airy feel to the room. The units are high quality, soft-white with stainless steel handles and fitted in such a way as to create an efficient working space. The lower units are a combination of cupboards and large storage drawers and the generous worktops are gorgeous, smooth, black granite. There are two full-sized ovens from AEG with a five burner hob above. The large fridge and freezer are integrated and there is no need to worry about fitting in washing machine and tumble drier because they have their own huge utility room to live in, which is fully-fitted too and more than generous in size. Both kitchen and utility room have sleek charcoal grey floor tiles and halogen lights litter the ceiling. This is a kitchen for someone who loves to cook. Well-proportioned with easy access to everything you'd need to conjure up a culinary masterpiece. The main downstairs rooms in this house are cleverly designed to lead one to another, as well as being accessible from the hall, so the kitchen takes you very neatly in to the dining area. Very lovely, nice and big, with room for large family gatherings round the table and still space for storing your best china. There are double doors that take you in to a good sized conservatory, which in turn leads to the sizeable rear garden. The dining room flows in to the substantial lounge, well proportioned, lovely and light and WOW, one of the most impressive brick fireplaces I've seen anywhere, it is princely in its dimensions and a truly stunning centre piece to the room. Contained within its grandeur is a larger-than-life log burner and, honestly, who wouldn't love to sprawl in front of such a magnificent fire with a glass of something warming? Another great feature of the house are the doors, all hand made of American White Oak, exuding quality. Apart from the kitchen, the floors are laid with good quality neutral coloured carpet and, in an age of laminate floors, I had almost forgotten the lovely cosiness of walking on springy lush carpet. So let's go upstairs, there are four double bedrooms, leading off the very roomy landing, most generous in their proportions, even the smaller room can take a normal double bed. Again, the natural light in every room is superb. The ceilings are partially vaulted but this doesn't impinge of the space whatsoever. Another excellent find is the amount of storage space to the three main rooms. All have inbuilt cupboards and the two middle rooms have low-level cupboards ideal for stashing away all those children's toys. The master bedroom is situated at the front of the house and is delightful with bags of space and two excellent built in wardrobes to one end. There is a lovely big ensuite shower, very stylish in design and, much as I hate to bang on about it, the whole room is bathed in natural light from the wonderful windows.Outside is a neat front garden, a short driveway and a great unattached double garage. The extremely beautiful car on the drive certainly did not look out of place. In estate agent speak this is a desirable property, well proportioned, in a good location and it's all true but No 4 The Hives is so much more, a splendid family home, spacious and airy, ready and waiting for a good owner to love it, could that be you?\"
