The House is readily accessible to the North Devon and North Cornish Beaches. The northern coastline provides a wealth of water sports such as sailing and surfing, as well as walking along the South West Coastal footpath, with large stretches of the coast being in the ownership and under the protection of The National Trust. From Bideford boat trips go on a regular basis throughout the summer to Lundy island in the Bristol Channel.
