Our family bought this house, brand new, in the 1960's and picked this particular plot mainly due to the views of the river.
The house was extended to create a sitting room which is perfect for relaxing with a good book and, in more recent times, we have had a new kitchen fitted and a ground floor shower room created. This is a spacious family home with a garden that is sunny, quiet and very private.
The close itself is a lovely place to live and, although there is a small contribution for the upkeep of the green, we feel that it is well worth it for what it gives you.
Shorne really is a wonderful village yet you will never guess that with the new Ebbsfleet railway station that the city of London is so nearby as is the continent.
