Full Details for 4 Bedroom Detached for sale in Trowbridge, BA14 :
This attractive four bedroom home, was constructed of honey-coloured stone with a tiled roof in 1982. It is located along a quiet lane close to the village of Southwick, just to the south-west of Trowbridge. Set in a plot of some 11 acres, comprising mainly paddock land, the property also includes a detached stone-built double garage, a large outbuilding with electricity and water, a stable, and a fuel store housing two 1300 litre bundled oil tanks. There is also planning permission for a manege ( ref W/12/00579/FUL) 30metres by 60 metres. As soon as we entered the driveway for the first time, some five years ago, we knew straight away that it was perfect for us, says Robert. Its just unfortunate that I now need to move nearer to my business, which is in the Cotswolds. The house itself is very spacious and light, explains Robert, with a lounge that occupies the width of the house and which has double doors leading out onto a south-facing stone-built patio at the rear. The lounge also has an open jet master fireplace, which is constructed of stone with a wooden mantel, so its a lovely cosy room in winter too. Theres a separate dining room and a big square kitchen, which is fitted with granite worktops and Neff appliances. A rear hallway takes you from the kitchen to the fitted utility room, and there is a cloakroom just off the front hall. The entrance hall has a solid wood staircase, which leads up to a half landing, lit by a large window, and then up to a galleried landing, where there are four double-size bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom also has an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower. Outside, continues Robert, the garden is laid mainly to lawn with flower beds and trees, but there is also a substantial vegetable garden. At the front of the house, there is plenty of driveway parking, which is accessed by double electric gates. The garage has two independent doors, and the large outbuilding offers a lot of flexible storage space horse boxes have been kept in there, for instance. Along with the stable and the paddock land, which is well fenced, there is plenty of scope for keen equestrians. The riding out is very good here too with an extensive network of bridleways.Hoggington Farm is in an excellent location, adds Robert. Its very quiet, yet only half a mile from the A361 at Southwick; its then only a short drive into Trowbridge. The town has everything you need from a mainline railway station and hospital to an excellent local butcher and a multiplex Odeon cinema.Sadly, its now just too far from my work, concludes Robert, but I wish I could just pick Hoggington Farm up and take it with me: it is an ideal home.
