We brought the house from new when we had decided to move to the area. There is always something going on in the working port, with of course, the ferry that has 2 or 3 sailing's a day to Dieppe.
It’s great that Newhaven has really good transport links with the trains and buses that go to Seaford, Lewes and Brighton plus through to London we are never stuck for a day out!

We have loved having a good butcher opposite the house on the quay and a fresh local fish shop just down the road, we certainly recommend their salmon and crabs!! You can also walk to the end of the harbour in about 15 minutes to the sea with views over Seaford bay it’s a beautiful area.
