It is less than two miles to Broomfield village where there is a post office, mini-market, hairdresser, two takeaways and two pubs and, if you want an evening out and don’t want to take the car, you can always walk to the highly-rated Prince of Wales pub and have a drink and a very pleasant meal. For those who enjoy walking and riding there are plenty of bracing country walks nearby as well as a number of local horse-owners, livery stables and bridlepaths.
