Full Details for 3 Bedroom Terraced for sale in Lewes, BN7 :
Looking for a home with both historic charm and convenience? Then this Grade II listed Victorian townhouse, located in one of Lewes' most desirable and handy streets, will be perfect for you - combining versatile accommodation with a great balance achieved between period features and contemporary fittings. The lounge and dining areas, with oak flooring, wood burning stove and open fireplace, are cosy and social areas. The newly formed, architecturally-designed, kitchen/breakfast room, with its sympathetically restored flint walls, limestone flooring and bi-folding doors leads into the welcoming garden and is a fantastic place for entertaining family and friends. The cellar, with worktop, sink and plumbing for a washing machine, provides a useful utility space as well as being ideal storage for any wine buffs. Add on the glamorous bathroom, with walk-in shower and roll-top bath, along with three double bedrooms, there is plenty of space to accommodate all the family's needs. The attic literally tops things off as potential for further improvement (subject to planning permission). You will enjoy being close to a variety of trendy restaurants, traditional pubs and fashionable boutiques and, of course, Lewes mainline train station is only 2 minutes walk away with direct links to London and Brighton. Lewes is the county town of East Sussex, set in the recently formed South Downs National Park. Take advantage of the nearby nature reserve or countryside and riverbank walks along The Ouse.
It was the central town location and wonderful character of this house that first attracted us to it. The scope to develop the kitchen was a real bonus and is now our pride and joy, it has become the heart of the home, a great space for everyone to enjoy, with plenty of natural light. This space is complimented by our lovely secluded garden, which is something of an unexpected green oasis of tranquillity in the centre of Lewes. We will certainly miss the convenience of this location - being so close to the station and, of course, Waitrose, for those last minute essentials! But what we will miss the most is the street itself. Our neighbours have become good friends. We are sure the new owners will benefit from the great lifestyle you can create, as much as we have.
