LOCATION
Middle Barton is a small village in the north-east of West Oxfordshire on the B4030. The village is close to West Oxfordshire`s north-east boundary. Bus services available to travel to Banbury (12 miles away), Bicester (12.5 miles away), Chipping Norton (8.5 miles away) and Oxford (20 miles away). The village falls within two parishes (Steeple Barton and Westcot Barton). Although a part of the parish of Westcot Barton forms the south-western corner of the village, the old hamlet of Westcott itself is quite distinct from the main village.
Facilities within the village include a primary school, a post office/general store, a public house, three places of worship and a sports ground including a social club and tennis courts. Apart from Middle Barton Garage there are few opportunities for employment within the village. However, there are industrial and business parks at Enstone Airfield, Kiddington and Chipping Norton.
