“We originally bought this flat – known as ‘The Pavilion’ – as an investment since we felt it was near to the city centre but not so close it would get noisy. The property has an entry phone system and is set back from the road. This means it is not very noticeable to outsiders and we have always felt this means it is very secure. We also have an allocated car space for off road parking as well as visitor parking – a very useful bonus in Canterbury – and the communal garden is well maintained. There are also very good mobile connections, Wi-Fi and multi-channel TV and, from Canterbury West station, you can be in London in under an hour. Under the circumstances we feel it could make an excellent apartment for someone looking for a place for weekends and holidays – particularly if they are cricket aficionados as we are just opposite the Kent County Cricket ground. Indeed, our first tenants were Geraint Jones and James Tredwell in their early days playing cricket for Kent – and you can even see evidence of their occupation with the cricket memorabilia still in the apartment! Over the past three years we have used the flat for holiday lets and all our holidaymakers have thoroughly enjoyed their stay, finding the apartment very comfortable and central and the adjacent bus stop particularly useful.”
